The Law of Georgia on Labor Safety explains:

"The labor safety specialist must have passed the relevant accredited program".

"A person responsible for labor safety must have relevant professional experience and qualifications (skills and technical habits, which are confirmed by a certificate of completion of an accredited program).

An employer with 20 or fewer employees may personally perform the professional duties of an occupational safety specialist provided that he has completed an accredited program. If the employer has 20 to 100 employees, he is obliged to appoint at least 1 labor safety specialist, and in case of having 100 or more employees, the employer is obliged to create a labor safety service with at least 2 labor safety specialists.
